- 1 pound(s) lean gound beef
- 0.13 teaspoon(s) water
- 1 ounce(s) onion, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 0.5 cup(s) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon(s) Splenda (optional)
- 1.5 teaspoon(s) White vinegar
- 1.5 teaspoon(s) Low sodium soy sauce
- 0.13 teaspoon(s) mustard powder
- 0.5 teaspoon(s) sea salt
- 0.13 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 1 packet Cheesy Cheddar or shredded cheddar in Step 3
- 3 green peppers, cut in half
Sloppy Joe Stuffed Peppers Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Add water to Cheesy Cheddar Mix to make soup but do not heat.
- Brown ground beef, celery, garlic, and onion in skillet; drain fat and water.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, except green peppers and cheese and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Parboil the peppers in boiling water for 3 minutes and drain. Place peppers in baking dish.
- Stir half of Cheesy Cheddar into hamburger mixture, and then fill peppers with meat.
- Top meat with remaining Cheesy Cheddar. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is hot and bubble, and peppers are tender to the touch.
